President Boakai Inspects $150 Million Kalawanda Park Project, Commits to Improving Marshall City Health Center!!!

Marshall City, Liberia- October 25, 2024:
President Joseph Boakai today visited the Kalawanda Park project site in the Fantin Town Community, Marshall City. .

The seventy (70) acres of land project called the Kalawanda Park is a Liberian-owned initiative valued at150 million United States Dollars, designed to boost local tourism and economy.

Once completed, the park will feature hotels, convention centers, and other attractions, creating a new leisure hub for both locals and visitors.
The project is set for completion within two years according to President Boakai’s Advisor on National Infrastructure, Joe Jane Nulbah, who toured nearly every corner of the site with the President.
Mr. Mulbah provided an overview, describing the park as an asset that, once finished, will become “one of the finest parks in West Africa.”
He said the project is not funded by the Liberian Government rather good-will Liberians around the world.

Mr. Mulbah also outlined plans for the park’s development, emphasizing its potential to uplift the community and attract regional visitors.

Meanwhile, residents of Fantin Town raised concerns about reported encroachments by foreign nationals, specifically some Chinese individuals.
The President has assured the community that his administration would address any unauthorized activity on the land, adding that it’s crucial for the project’s integrity to be maintained.
In another development, following his visit at the park, President Boakai stopped at the Marshall City Health Center, which has been in a state of disrepair. .

The president mentioned the urgent need for upgrades, he promised the health authorities: “l will instruct the Health Minister to act on improving this center’s infrastructure.”

He then pledged his commitment to revamping the health center to improving essential services for the community.
