President Boakai express sincere thanks and appreciation to Indonesia Government for awarding Scholarship to Liberian Students

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the Government of Indonesia for the generous scholarships awarded to Liberia”, President Joseph Boakai applauds the Indonisian Government during his address at the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum.

He said the scholarships will significantly contribute to enhancing Liberia’s capacity across various sectors, empowering many young Liberians to pursue their academic and professional aspirations.

He further acknowledged that while these scholarship opportunities were not effectively enforced during previous administrations, his government is determined to ensure their full implementation.

He thanked the Indonesian Government for its recommitment of willingness to reinforce and expand these opportunities for Liberian students under his leadership.

Indonesia’s strengths in key sectors such as rice production, palm oil cultivation, and agriculture offer Liberia significant learning opportunities.

With Indonesia being one of the world’s top producers of rice and palm oil, Liberian students can gain invaluable expertise in these areas through the scholarships.

Meanwhile, President Boakai has met Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

Both leaders have “exchange-interest” of rice production and palm oil partnerships, and many more.

Indonesia is a G20 member country classified as an emerging market and developing nation, with a strong economy as rinsing Reginal power with considerable development.
